Ad4App Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Ad4App blocks apps you choose and opens them for a few minutes after you watch a rewarded ad. The short version: your app choices, your settings, and your scorecard counters stay on your device. There are no accounts, no purchases, and no Ad4App server that stores your data. Watching an ad involves Google AdMob as an ad provider. Content-free analytics goes through our own relay to PostHog EU.

The data controller for any personal data processed through Ad4App is: Geometry Lab L.L.C-FZ, Licence No. 2651608.01, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Geometry is our trading style. See geometryapps.com.

What data Ad4App handles

Your blocked-app selection. On iOS the selection is made in Apple's own Screen Time picker and stored as opaque system tokens on your device (shared only with the app's own Screen Time extensions). The tokens are opaque by OS design: Ad4App cannot read which apps you chose, and nothing about the selection leaves the device. On Android the selection is a list of app names stored in the app's local preferences. The accessibility service that enforces the wall receives window-change events to notice a blocked app opening; its configuration disables window-content access, so it sees app identity only, never screen content, text, or passwords.

The scorecard and settings. Ads watched, minutes unlocked, times stopped at the wall, and your pass length are counters stored on your device. Deleting the app, or Settings > Reset Ad4App, removes them.

Rewarded ads. Watching an ad to open a Scroll Pass uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). When an ad is requested, Google processes device information under Google's own policies; see Google's advertising policies. Where the law requires it, the app asks for consent before personalized ads and non-personalized serving is used instead. Impression counts and estimated ad revenue (never your identity) are reported to RevenueCat for revenue accounting alongside an app-generated identifier. The app sells nothing: there are no purchases, no subscriptions, and no payment data anywhere in the system.

Usage analytics (content-free)

No analytics SDK in the app. The app sends a closed allow-list of content-free events (counts, enums, booleans; for example "a pass was granted by an ad" or "the gate was opened") over an encrypted connection to our own Cloudflare relay, which forwards them to PostHog (EU hosting). Events never contain app names, package names, ad content, or anything you type; on iOS the app could not name your blocked apps even by accident, because it never learns them.

The relay branches by region. For the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland (and any request whose region can't be determined), each event gets a fresh random identifier, IP information is stripped, GeoIP is disabled, and no profile is built. Rest-of-world events are tied only to a random app-scoped identifier, still with no IP.

Your choice: in Germany and Austria (and where the device region is unknown), analytics are off until you opt in; nothing is sent unless you tap Allow. Everywhere else analytics default on with a one-tap opt-out in Settings. Opting out stops product events immediately and deletes the stored identifier. Product analytics are not used for advertising and are never linked with third-party data or sold.

App-health diagnostics

Apple MetricKit on iOS and platform app-exit diagnostics on Android report aggregate stability figures (crash counts, launch times, versions). They are content-free, carry no persistent identifier, exist solely to find and fix crashes, and ride a legitimate-interest basis independent of the analytics opt-out.

Sub-processors and providers

Apple (Screen Time), Google (AdMob ad serving), Cloudflare (analytics relay transport and this website; strips IP, stores no event payloads), PostHog (EU hosting; analytics processor, no onward sharing or advertising use), and RevenueCat (ad-revenue accounting under an Art 28 data-processing agreement).

Your control & rights

Change the blocked list, the pass length, and analytics from inside the app; remove all app data with Settings > Reset Ad4App or by uninstalling. GDPR / UK GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability): contact us or use the rights portal above. California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and correct; email support@ad4app.app or use the rights portal. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International transfers

Analytics are hosted in the EU (PostHog EU). Where data is processed outside the EEA/UK, it relies on appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses / UK IDTA / Swiss FADP addendum) via our processors. The controller is established in the UAE; the Art 27 representatives above act as the EU/UK points of contact.

Children

Ad4App is a general-audience utility. It is not directed at children, has no social features and no user-generated content, and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
